Erik S. Nachbahr
President
Erik founded Helion in 1997 with the goal of bringing strong Information Technology strategies and leadership to Auto Dealerships. That vision has guided Helion with a focus on outstanding service and innovative, client centric solutions. He believes that a strong Information Technology strategy centers on improving the efficiency of the business it serves while controlling costs.
Erik holds a BA from Loyola University Maryland, an AA from Baltimore International Culinary College and industry certifications from Microsoft and Cisco. He has a diverse background that includes a culinary internship with the Ritz-Carlton, adult technical education and technology operations for Aon, a global insurance underwriter. In his current role as President and CEO of Helion Erik works as Chief Information Officer for a client base with billions of dollars in annual revenue.
Giving back and supporting community organizations is an essential component of any business. Helion provides pro bono services to several community nonprofit organizations. Erik serves on the Board of Directors of The Family Tree, a Maryland Non-Profit dedicated to improving our community by providing families with proven solutions to prevent child abuse and neglect.
When he isn’t working, Erik prefers to be SCUBA diving. He is a Baltimore native where he lives with his wife Meredith and their two children Kees and Tess.
Scot McConnor
Vice President of Sales
Scot began his career in the Automotive industry in car sales and sales management. He later transferred those skills into the role of District Manager for a national software provider for Auto Dealers. Scot joined Helion in 2007 with the goal of growing its client base and markets. Helion has enjoyed double digit annual growth under Scot’s direction. Scot assists Dealerships in identifying their Information Technology challenges using his extensive experience with both Automotive operations and Information Technology solutions.
When Scot isn’t working you can find him SCUBA diving (usually with Erik). He lives in Cleveland, OH with his wife Amy and two children.
Francis Twomey
Director
Fran joined Helion in 2003 after completing his MS in Computer Science at Loyola University Maryland. He brings over 8 years of Automotive Information Technology experience to Helion’s dealership clients. Fran serves in the capacity of “Chief Information Officer” to client Dealers and Executives. He advises on technology strategy, direction and management.
When Fran isn’t working you may catch him “Hanging 10” on the waves of New Jersey’s beautiful sea shore.
Lucas Johnson
Director
Lucas began his career at Helion in early 2008 bringing with him Human Resources experience from the retail, healthcare and employment staffing industries. As the Director of Human Resources, he oversees all Human Resource functions such as benefits, employee relations, performance management and assimilating new hires. He also leads the efforts for the recruitment and selection process for all of Helion’s staffing needs.
Lucas graduated from the University of Maryland – Baltimore County with a BA in Psychology. He has also received his Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification and is currently pursuing the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). He currently lives with his wife Neiaz and son Oliver in Hunt Valley, MD.
